Counterproductions was founded in 1998, as an organisation and producer of transdisciplinary art projects (including visual art,installation, performance, live art and theatre). It exists as a platform and arena for new work, ideas and discourse. This website is constructed both as a news and information exchange, and as an archive of past projects. Individuals and other commentators are welcome to contact us. The future site, categories and satellites will be constructed to reflect those responses. As part of the build up to a major new exhibition at the Geffrye Museum, counterproductions ran two workshops for the public. Individuals were asked to dig out objects from their cupboards, lofts, wardrobes etc. and bring them to the workshop for casting as sculptural relief objects. Over 40 objects were cast with varying degrees of success, including a father’s leather cycling shoe, a rag doll, a rose cutting, a bust of buddha and darth vadar, various items of clothing and objet d’art.

Parallel Universe/s couples counterproductions activities with participants dreams, wishes and labours for 2006/7 in a two week installation . Film archive from bolted/unbolted was edited (rough cut) and presented as video evidence of this interaction between audience and facilitators. Oranges were squeezed and thoughts noted, to create a mixture of hopes and anxieties for present and future digestion.
